On Friday, 3 October, Roger Wilson, Professor Emeritus of Roman Archaeology in the Department of Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies at the University of British Columbia, gave a lecture entitled “La vie rurale dans la Sicile hellénistique et romaine: le projet Campanaio”. This lecture formed part of the Centre Camille Jullian seminar series “Méditerranée antique et protohistoire – Économie et société dans le monde antique,” and represents an important moment in the ongoing exchange of knowledge between UBC and AMU. The event took place from 14:00 to 17:00 in Salle Duby, at the MMSH in Aix-en-Provence, France. We wish to express our sincerest thanks to Professor Wilson for his participation, to Professor Jean-Christophe Sourisseau for his kind support and collaboration, and to all the faculty and staff members who made this event possible.
